Synopsis
Clear all the dungeons! There are 666 of them and 10 years to do it. If not, the only thing that awaits…is total annihilation. Ezoe Kazuhiko suddenly finds a mysterious underground space in his yard. When he steps into what turns out to be the very first dungeon in this world, he ends up activating the Dungeon System and learns from the mysterious beauty who appears to him, Akane, that the world is doomed to destruction if the 666 total dungeons that will be appearing in this world are not all cleared within 10 years. As countries begin taking measures in response to the dungeons appearing all over the world, Ezoe seeks out companions together with whom he establishes Dungeon Busters Inc., a company dedicated to clearing all the dungeons in the world! The curtains rise on this dungeon-delving epic with overwhelming realism!

I had to stop reading this novel. At first the poor political knowledge was not intrusive. But I am now a majority through the 2nd novel it’s actually worse then Gate – Thus the JSDF Fought There! I read reviews for volume 3 & 4 and it only gets worse.
In addition the MC continues to use a shovel as his main weapon. Yes it’s true the military does train close combat with a shovel. But not because the shovel is a good weapon. It’s because soldiers can only carry so much gear and they are already carrying a shovel (well in US military it’s called and entrenching tool).
Also Gamerica calling the troops back would do no good if they were following US laws. I am not sure how many teenagers are aware but most experience adults know that the US military can’t be deployed on US soil unless martial law is declared. So recalling troops would do nothing more than save money. And trying to successfully declare martial law w/o a threat would be hard.
Also in the US if a dungeon appeared on private land the landowner controls it. Hence the not uncommon stories in the US of finding rare resources resources on your land and becoming rich. The same would happen to dungeons, they would be a private resource. Though otherworld being controlling where dungeons appear, the author, could easily make all 22 or so (based on equal distribution by population) for the US appear on government controlled lands.
Also the part i found truly amusing is how only civilian Japanese have the wherewithal to push themselves to get to rank C.
It’s solid mainly due to its unique premise. However the politics is shallow and hardcore pro-Japanese. It gets bad enough that i have to stop reading since it is so inaccurate and ruins the immersion. Similar to “Gate – Jietai Kare no Chi nite, Kaku Tatakeri” but not quite to that degree.

If you came to read this for the Cover, then you will have a decent read. The ecchi that’s expected is only something like ‘they had a lot of sex after that’ type. Two volumes in, and the story’s time progression doesn’t even surpass a year, so it fleshes out information that’s vital for smooth delivery.

I ain’t going to comment on wether the book is bad or not since i haven’t read it, but you can’t deny the cover deters people who don’t really want that much ecchi from reading it.
There are several people saying that the work should not be judged by the cover but they forget that the cover is an important part of a light novel. What this cover says is that the novel is full of “ecchi things” and believe me, the amount is irritating. Other than that, the story is pretty cool so I recommend.

If you think the cover is screaming ecchi, i think you have not read enough ecchi manga. They normally have thing like panties…naked girls with steam covering important parts or shirt’s button undone. Girls would be stripping over nothing and show panties at the softest breeze of air and so on. I think you guys are looking at the cover and reading too much into it. My only complain is that if you look at the cover and think this is not for you, dont make comment here. It will give the people reading it the assumption that story is trash base on your “review”.

A damn ultra-nationalistic novel lol, way worse than Gate.
Some of the ppl above are judging a book by it covers, why bother comment if you are going to be like that?…..i would recomend this book. It is interesting in trying to include realistic aspects in the story. The mc is not a horny, weak mind or over powered mc. He is not a middle schooler, matured and act like his age. And there is no game like power up in this story either, the mc had to kill 100k of weak monsters before being able to go to the next level. Just read and decided if it worth your time. Ignore the comments above that seem to suggest the story is generic…they havent read it i am sure
Lately there are many novels full of fan services.The rule is to write generic things…Only once did I want to see an interesting plot.
The cover just screams deep plot
this looks so generic, there’s not even a gimmick for the main character

Looks at the art… Looks back at the description… “Ah, yes, I see, realism…”
I’m interested in the premise. Let’s see how it actually turns out.
