Everyone wants to be remembered…
Untold years after the strange Beasts drove humanity to extinction, Willem emerges from his slumber as the sole survivor. A new civilization of various other races has risen on the floating islands, but there’s no place for a featureless human among them. After aimlessly wandering for a time, Willem grudgingly accepts a job with the military, only to discover that the “weapons” he watches over are in fact young faeries. Strange, I’ve tried with 3 diffrent pcs (since they have different antivirus), and always got message about trojan. I’ve only got problem here (chrome likes to block download, but antivirus says epubs were clean). Thanks anyway, I’ll download it on a phone 🙂
Mayhaps they are notifying about the link instead of the file? The link redirector that I use have some suspicious ads (that even got the site flagged by google for 3 days), so maybe that is what your antivirus was warning against? Personally I recommend using Ublock Origin to remove the ads so you won’t see anything.
Also, in antivirus, there is this function called Heuristics scanning, where they will flag stuff that are possibly suspicious (even without proof), if it just looks suspicious, they will warn you about it. The link redirectors are somewhat suspicious so maybe that’s it? Whichever the case, remember you can still send the downloaded file to virustotal.com before you open it, it’s better to be safe than sorry.
I’m using ublock,so it wasn’t because of adds. Somehow antivirus thought that zip file has trojan. After downloading and unpacking it on my phone, everything was fine with epub on pc.
Then i suppose it’s just an overzealous antivirus? Whichever the case, I do hope that you scan it through virustotal before opening at least. It’s important to practice safe browsing habits, since it would suck to have your data compromised by a virus.
There is also the possibility that the filehosting sites inject virus into the files, so you can never be too sure. If you worry your downloads still trigger the trojan warniing, you can send us a mail through the contact form and we will try to send you the file directly.
