Win Defender shows as a trojan for me as well, but virustotal flags it as clean. Something is just being funky somewhere, there’s nothing in the zip but the epub as usual.
Generally for these, the issue is they flag the file because it’s a “suspected” trojan. So it’s more towards their guessing that it is a virus because it comes from a suspicious URL, rather than actually scanning the file and verifying that it’s a virus. I scanned the file with windows defender too and it’s safe. I suspect your issue is windows defender intercepting the download before they actually downloaded the file. How to fix this? Well I don’t know either, perhaps add an exception for the downloads when this issue pops up?
I just flag it as allowed and redownload. It would download, and then pop-up the warning just as it finished downloading. Flagging as allowed and redownloading fixes it.
Good that you found a solution to your problem. But remember to scan the file before opening it. It’s still better to err on the safe side and scan whatever files you download from the internet.
well. this is a issue, tried with turning off Bitdefender and windows defender, bouth said a trojan in it.
tried to download with firefox and other browsers like opera but my 7zip dint wana open the file because that also said trojan.

Yeah got the same Trojan detected from my windows. I had to manual allow it and redownload the file to be able to actually get the file and unzip it.
It detects as Trojan
Download the file, upload it to virustotal.com and show me the results if it truly is trojan. Also, read the FAQs.
