When Supernatural Battles Became Commonplace

異能バトルは日常系のなかでInou-Battle wa Nichijou-kei no Naka de
Synopsis

Andou Jurai is a second-year highschooler with the mind of an eighth-grade edgelord. His self-indulgent fantasies and over the top antics make him a constant pain in the neck for his friends in the literary club…until, that is, they all suddenly awaken to spectacular supernatural powers! Their godlike abilities include stopping time, manipulating the elements, creating matter from nothing, subverting the very laws of reality, and…producing black fire that doesn’t burn. (Some superpowers are more godlike than others.) Andou’s read enough comics to know what comes next: it’s only a matter of time before they’ll be dragged into life-or-death battles with the fate of the world itself at stake! The world, however, disagrees. There are no villains, no battles, no earth-shattering disasters—nothing whatsoever. Half a year later, the literary club finds themselves confronting a new question: what do you do with supernatural powers when your day to day life is as commonplace as ever?

  1. Dropping this at vol 3 I just hate how 90% is weird exposition that has no comedic nor advances the plot in anyway. Everytime jurai and tomoyo talk it feels like the story has completely halted for these 2 to banter on the most boring subject imaginable

  2. Anime razoável
    Gostei das garotas no anime
O Mc é um bosta mas as meninas salvam, vamos ver a novel

  3. I’m actually excited to get this series lol, I really enjoyed the anime and it left on quite a cliff, though I already know the dense mc is gonna make me hate the story lol but I really liked all the girls, that one part with a girl trying to break the trope is great and of course that legendary scene where the girl pops off on mc about chunnis.

It’s such a great scene, so rare to actually see someone one to be an otaki and being sad at not understanding a chuuni, it’s always just the cheap shots about bullying them or treating them like garbage.

Welp the girls are great but the mc is dogshit, just your regular light novel really, though the plot itself about abilities and such was also very interesting so I’m just hoping over here the romance isn’t pushed back till the end …. Yeah as if that’d ever happen.

I’m actually looking forward to the other novel by this author “You like me don’t you?” That’s should be coming out soon, an early romance series where the pair start dating from the start.

Musume Janakute Mama from this guy should also get liscensed, it’s about a guy getting together with a milf (guy is 20, woman is 30).

This author does some pretty good stuff.

    1. Check the official page for the English release: Digital 2022-02-14. Just because something has been out for a long time in Japan doesn’t mean the English licensed translation/release follows the same schedule.

      1. I mean the official english translation

It’s just surprising for me this got picked up when the anime has long passed, since anime airing is usually peak popularity for a series

If this got picked means that it’s still popular enough, I guess

        1. Not sure if intentional but J novel have a habit of picking up great stories that go on to have anime or they pick up stories that had an anime that ended on a cliff. Either circumstance is great for fans and the company.
