Windows Antivirus is flagging the file as detecting a trojan script [ Trojan:Script/Conteban.A!ml ]
Like i have mentioned in the other comments, send the file to virustotal and see the results from there. As far as I have tested, all the files have only ever came back clean. And what is Windows Antivirus? I’m using windows defender and I don’t have any warnings regarding that though?
Always scan files with virustotal before opening it. If your antivirus deletes the file immediately, then you might have to turn off real-time protection or add it to the exception list. Or better, just use a mobile phone to download the file, there seems to be less troubles that way.
I apologize, windows antivirus is windows defender. This was the first time I’d had any trouble with downloading a file and windows was automatically deleting the file before I could check it. It works now without anything else being done.
oh? Could it be that you clicked on a fake download link? Some ads like to disguise as download buttons? Unfortunately, I have no way of fixing this issue from my end because there’s too many variables and possibilities as to why, so you’ll have to do the usual workarounds (try different browser, use another device, etc) if you ever encounter it again. I don’t inject the files with any viruses or anything but I cannot guarantee it won’t be infected by the download website, or by some other means, so it is always safer to scan it with virustotal before you open any file.
Thank you 🙂
