Synopsis
After Hiroto Amamiya dies on a school trip, the god of reincarnation, Rodocolte, sends the unfortunate student into a second life. quite mid considering people are saying “amongst the best out there”. so imma just blatantly comparing this to Hell Mode.
yet another fantasy novel using rpg game mechanics. and unlike Hell Mode, we dont see much use of the skill systems. and, we got a mc that was cursed by possibly the lamest ‘god’ someone has ever written in a novel.
the plot’s a bit on the edgy side, pretty ironic cuz it has ‘seinen’ and ‘mature’ tags lmao.
cant say much about worldbuilding tho. but considering the nations mentioned in the first novel bet it wont reach Min-Maxing TRPG Build level, let alone Goblin Slayer or Asc. Bookworm.
will make another review once it reaches the fifth vol. it’s still a good read while waiting for Min-Maxing My TRPG Build 04 canto 2 and Hell Mode vol 5.

I’ve been waiting for this LN to be officially released!
It’s just disappointing that the official release is only half of the fan-translated compilations. This volume, for example, goes only until chapter 13 of the fan-translated volume 1 (that has 26 chapters).
Thank the gods, the light novel is finally getting a release!!

I actually expect them to catch up. It’ll take a long time but the fan translations(while really really good) are super slow.
Novel vol 9 released in March 22 and novel vol 1 in December 16. Novel vol 9 finishes web vol 5 (fan trans finished it in December 17). That’s about 1 web vol adapted to novel per year.
Since fan trans is on web vol 12 at the moment the novel won’t catch up to where the fan trans is today until 2029. If fan trans continues at 12 chapters per year then the novel won’t catch up to them until 2031 and if it continues at 16 chapters per year then the main story will be completed by the fan trans before the novel catches up.
Looking at NU the fan trans did: 135 chapters in 2017, 80 chapters in 2018, 35 chapters in 2019, 44 chapters in 2020, 28 chapters in 2021, and so far 24 chapters in 2022.
