Synopsis
ONE BIG FAT LIE AND A FEW TWISTED TRUTHS
Even in his past life, Cid’s dream wasn’t to become a protagonist or a final boss. He’d rather lie low as a minor character until it’s prime time to reveal he’s a mastermind…or at least, do the next best thing-pretend to be one! And now that he’s been reborn into another world, he’s ready to set the perfect conditions to live out his dreams to the fullest. Armed with his overactive imagination, Cid jokingly recruits members to his organization and makes up a whole backstory about an evil cult that they need to take down. Well, as luck would have it, these imaginary adversaries turn out to be the real deal-and everyone knows the truth but him!

this assassin’s creed novel is kinda sus
TLDR The templar is reviving their lord and saviour and do nasty things and the assassins are developing their rnd team, gaining noble connections, and increasing their network. a very straight forward read.

MC somehow feels like having Ainz’s *luck* plot armor, pacing is too fast and could’ve developed the characters more, it focuses on the harem and romance (i wonder where the tags are/were) rather than the actual action.

aand i think i set my standards way too high for this one.
It does not focus on the harem and romance, it’s others falling for him when he tries to be a mob character. The plot is a comedy about the mc and how whatever he does works out somehow
oh so it was a comedy? didn’t realize that, since it has the same vibes with Overlord.
maybe tune the lore down a little? lol
He lives in a rom com while everyone else lives in a grimdark novel. It’s the contrast that makes it hilarious imo, (a character is standing in the precipice of change, yet the symbol she holds of the past before having it brutally ripped away being the wrapper of a fast food burger)

Can’t wait for volume 3. The light novel is the only way to continue now that the web version seems to be dead. Looking at the art for the next volume… volume 3 should more or less catch up with the web version it seems.
